“Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.” – Isaiah 40:28
Oh! So you are mighty in strength?
Phenomenal in intellect, isn’t that you?
Astonishing in beauty, now that’s indisputably you?
Stupendous in wealth; common, everybody knows you!
Magnificent in power, the sheer mention of your name alone sends shivers down countless spines.
Surely, this is a cause for pride and perhaps deservedly so.
But not before the Almighty.
Which among these can you answer in the affirmative?
Are you –
(1) Immortal?
(2) A co-creator of the universe?
(3) Indefatigable? Or;
(4) Unsearchable in understanding?
Surely, none born of a woman can attain the fullness of these attributes in the flesh.
For they are the exclusive preserve of the Almighty.
They are the inherited portions of whomever He has so graciously endowed with any of these, celestial or terrestial.
In the searching of His understanding, our understanding is snuffed out and blurred in fatigue.
Therefore, know your place in His scheme of things, and give honour to whom honour is due.
God alone is the Everlasting Father, and much more.
He is greatly to be feared.
