“As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God” – 1 Peter 2:16
“…cloke of maliciousness…”, doesn’t this sound familiar?
The abuse of liberty, your liberty, in Christ;
The misuse of gifts of the Spirit that come with this liberty;
Both, as tools for the exploitation of the innocent and uninformed.
For others, an instrument of strife and a carnal status symbol
Doers of such have existed all through the ages.
From the days of the Kings of old until this modern era, they hold sway as spiritual lords.
Kings Jehoshaphat and Ahab were once victims.
Richly blessed with divine virtues by the Almighty as His servants, they are divergent in operation from their God-given mandate.
“False prophets” might strike a gong here but the variants are a lot more diverse than these.
Even as individuals, we cannot be excluded from this category if we choose to err in like manner, and many do.
Have you been set free?
Do you regard yourself as a servant of the Most High?
Then go on and be a lamp of life to others.
A potent salt upon the earth, adding value to humankind and not otherwise.
Remember, you are liable to render an account for your activities someday.
Remain blessed.
