“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” – James 1:5
As humility goes hand in hand with wisdom, so does pride with folly.
Identifying and admitting the need for wisdom in one’s life places such one on a pedestal not too far from the desired virtue.
Suffice it to say this noble act of admission of a gap and the subsequent request is what moves God to grant such desire in line with His will.
If this is all it takes to be wise, then why the dearth of wise ones on the earth, we may ask.
Actually, the world is full of ‘VERY’ wise people.
Self, street and worldly wise but divinely foolish.
These are the ones being addressed here.
The wisdom of the world is foolishness before God (1 Corinthians 3:19).
If in doubt, pick any matter of strength to you.
Try going toe to toe with the Master Architect of the universe and let’s see who comes out tops.
Quit that self-righteousness and aggrandizement and go for the real deal.
Humble yourself before God and ask for His divine wisdom today.
Nothing on earth can withstand this.
