10 None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me? 11 Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine. – Job 41:10-11
Stand before a lion and take it down before you commence this journey.
Oh, great! You scaled this one nicely, like many other brave souls before you through history.
Next up, ascend the heights to the mountains and take captive a full-grown eagle.
Awesome! You just did. What a mighty man of valour you must be if you did get past this one.
And to the oceans, we go, battling sea creatures and monsters this time.
Did you just let out a cry about an unfair challenge?
Of course, you were created a terrestrial and not an aquatic being, therefore your chances of surviving this one are slim.
Here, your limits and our limits as humans begin to speak.
But do these limits not sound and trail after us always?
Whether on land or water, and whether against fellow humans, beasts, nature or even self?
If you have ever struggled in any way against any of the above listed, then how would you be able to stand before God at His appearing?
You own a house, car, company, or any material thing, or object of enviable fancy of any kind, and that’s great.
But hold on a minute and ponder for a moment, do you really own or are you just a privileged custodian of these?
What have you that you were not given or received of another (1 Corinthians 4:7)?
In nakedness, you dropped into this world and in the same state stripped of all material possessions you shall depart (Job 1:21).
Whatsoever is under the whole heaven remains the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof.
One word too many for the wise at heart – surrender to your OWNER now and live securely forever.
Remain ever blessed.
