“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.” – Proverbs 29:25
This comes to challenge an earthly status quo often regarded as wisdom among unbelievers and believers alike.
These ones are clad with inadequate knowledge of the self-awareness of who they really are in Christ.
Prophet Elisha, in the face of impending danger from adversaries following an overnight siege, once prayed an eye-opening prayer to the LORD;
He beseeched God to open the eyes of his panicky servant.
To what end was this?
That he may see the number of the invisible forces that were lined up for their protection.
This, in comparison to the physical forces that were against them. (2 Kgs 6:15-17)
Understand this please, the spiritual is far greater than the physical.
The unseen, way more powerful than the seen.
If the Everlasting God in heaven is your Father and Jesus Christ your Master, then why fear man?
Do you not know that greater is He that is in you than he that is in them?
Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Why then ensnare yourself by fearing fellow humans beyond the required necessary reasonable respect?
Should their statuses be regarded at the expense of the Almighty you follow?
Fear God, not people!
Put your trust in the Lord, not man.
Herein lies your safety.
