“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” – 2 Corinthians 10:5
Like a case of “beat them or join them”, so it is with evil thoughts and everything that sets itself up against God, as evidenced in the flesh, principalities and powers.
You either beat them fine as dust or be subdued and conform to their demands.
It cannot be over-emphasized, the knowledge of God, the Almighty, dethrones all.
In overcoming contrary thoughts and associated elements, you must build capacity to a required level.
And of spiritual capacity building also, there is no end.
This is why the scriptures strongly admonish thus, “…let him that think he stand take heed lest he fall” – 1 Corinthians 10:12.
Your Sunday or any day church attendance is commendable but insufficient.
Private moments with God are what count in building capacity.
Your intimacy with Jesus Christ goes a long way in defining your moments.
That 3-mix of prayer, fasting and word study cannot be ignored.
Not just for a season but as a lifestyle must these be adopted.
Step up and get going on this path.
Otherwise, stay put and keep pleading for grace in the face of every temptation.
As always, the choice is yours to make.
Stay blessed.
