“Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.” – James 1:21
The word of God within our hearts is a stepping stone to greater heights.
But to any individual, a stumbling block it can be as well. (1 Peter 2:8)
For everyone with a lively conscience, there is always a constant interaction between you and God.
And this, for almost every decision and action you make and take.
His Spirit bears witness with ours to either approve or disapprove of our behaviours. (Romans 8:16)
But how can this happen if meekness unto obedience is not found in us?
Can two walk together unless there is a prior agreement? (Amos 3:3)
Behold the engrafted word of God and the power therein and a change of the dynamics begin to occur.
Before this reception and entrance of this powerful Word, a great shift must happen.
A laying apart of iniquity and an embracement of righteous living is required.
Do this and make of God’s words nicely paved stepping stones unto the salvation of your soul.
A beautiful life in the here and hereafter, rather than stumbling blocks unto perdition and perpetual anguish, awaits you.
