“ Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.” – Philippians 4:4
For every one of us, the choice resides in our hands.
Whether to be happy or sad, joyful or miserable, cheerful or morose.
More often than not, retaining any countenance other than an upbeat one in a stance of worry amounts to an exercise in futility.
It is no longer news that being worrisome changes nothing.
Rather, the worrier it is that becomes worse off in the end.
Even Jesus was blunt about this in asking which of us could add a cubit to our stature by being overly disturbed about life’s issues (Matthew 6:25-28).
Seriously, none can.
Therefore, go light on yourself and endeavour to be joyful.
For a self-sustaining and longer-lasting joy, make God the fountain of that joy.
Your case is sure to be different indeed.
Now it’s time to rejoice in the Lord.
Remain blessed.
