Rejoice All Season

REJOICE IN SEASON AND OUT OF SEASON

17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: 18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” – Habakkuk 3:17-18

By this, the fair-weather ones are known and separated from the die-hard followers.

A popular song among the Yorubas translated into English says – “When fire ravages, I will follow Jesus; when the rains pour, I will follow Jesus…”.

But in reality, isn’t this easier said than done?

Who is that man that goes about town smiling on an empty pocket?

Who is that woman with the anguish of the heart that turns up with genuine radiance on her face?

In other words, it is unnatural for humans to be excited when besieged by issues.

But that is exactly what our Heavenly Father expects of us when confronted by any circumstance.

Whatever that situation may be, the God of strange works only requires your joy to turn it around.

You’ve been frowning, nagging, complaining and murmuring long enough.

Try rejoicing in the Lord for a change and watch your change of story will arrive in due course.

Stay blessed.
