“ Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.” – Ephesians 4:29
Have you ever heard about that tiny part of the body that constitutes a world of iniquity?
Now enters the tongue with all of its subtilty, sleekness and power.
Talk about the one that sets on fire with itself consumed by greater flames and this one is.
Lined up on the corridors of history are its countless victims, status notwithstanding.
An absolute blessing to mankind yet the Achilles heels of the unwary.
We profess love from its encasement and at the flip of a turn words of hatred freely flow.
Sure thing, speeches and utterances are a product of a complex mix of factors.
The justifications thereof also vary by individual, entity and domain.
But for the saved or any with an eye on eternal life in Christ, this admonition applies.
Be known for gracious words.
Be a life-giver in speech and not a life-taker.
Your words must be found to minister grace to the soul and not disgrace to your personality.
Let not the same mouth that praises God and blesses souls be the same that harbours curses and vain talk.
Speeches are powerful and word is life.
Watch yours.
Remain blessed.
