“But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,” – Luke 6:27
For the ordinary human out there, this is no easy feat.
But with Jesus, the harder they come, the weightier the blessings.
If God has commanded it and we profess to be on His side, then we are under obligation to fulfil this instruction.
“How do I bless them that curse me?”.
“More weirdly so, how do I pray for them that have despitefully used me?”, you ask.
Consider! Have you not done worse to God your Maker at some point in your life?
Daily you breathe God’s free air and nourish your body and soul feeding fat on His nutrients.
In between and on a regular you bounce around healthy and as fit as a fiddle.
Then there are those moments of narrow escape from an accident or a mishap.
Plus a million other favourable situations as such.
And how do you get to repay God for all these?
With sin, of course – both intentional and unintentional in nature.
We, in this way, draw battle lines against God that He is always willing to meet with mercy and love.
Now it’s your turn to arise and go do the same for others, as commanded.
Love your enemies to experience another dimension of God’s love in your life.
Such, Jesus, the Master, commands you to do this day.
Remain blessed.
