“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” – 1 Corinthians 10:13
“My case is different” is a popular phrase often engaged by individuals to distinguish their prevailing circumstances from the general.
With temptations, there is nothing as such.
Shift the blame, if you so wish, like a so-called Adam that chose to blame his spouse for his disobedience.
Choose to be that particular spouse by the name Eve or her seed after her that is quick to heap it all on the devil.
There is certainly no assurance of a greater empathy for you than for anyone else.
For with God, we never get what we cannot bear or overcome.
Therefore, when next you are confronted by that weakness of the flesh, bear in mind;
You are not the first to go through that temptation.
Nor will you be the last.
The power to overcome is already within you.
But better still, turn to God for help as you find support in His word.
Remain blessed.
