“But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.” – Amos 5:24
God speaks, then watches for our response.
We get it all wrong when we, by our reaction, try to overturn in our favour His verdict, instruction, decree, law, or any of such form in which His spoken word may be presented to us.
Here, this day, He speaks again.
He stands for justice and righteousness but humankind stumbles at these without remorse in most cases.
The songs of worship and praises are meaningless without justice. Likewise, offerings and sacrifices are abominable without righteousness.
Amend your scales, weights and measures.
Translate equity and fairness from mere anthems into actions.
Integrity must be made to rise above corruption and the abode of light must become our choice dwelling over coves of darkness.
When this becomes our reality, our fraternity with the Almighty is solidified.
Until this time, God watches on.
Take heed and make amends.
