Even confessions alone cannot work here.
This is allegiant by nature.
You’ve got to be relentless in word and action.
The good things of life that most humans have chosen to pursue and needlessly cling to all came from this one Lord.
And yes, are they not indeed pleasant?
But herein lies the crime – exalting and extolling the created above the Creator.
The reverse must become the case in our lifetime as we relegate our fleshy passions, desires, ambitions, possessions and all that to the background and seek Jesus first.
Then shall all these other things that we follow hard after come chasing after us with ease.
His grace is sufficient for everyone.
