“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:” – 1 John 5:14
Herein lies the chief reason for unanswered prayers – making requests outside of God’s will.
Firstly, that none should perish but that all should repent of their unrighteous ways.
It is for this reason, the fulfilment of His promises towards us is delayed for our good (2 Peter 3:9).
Secondly, humans, in everything ought to give thanks always (1 Thessalonians 5:18);
Rather than attempting to make God’s seat hot with complaints and murmuring.
This same action, by biblical revelation, cost the Israelites of old 40 years plus a wasted generation to complete a journey of mere 40 days.
And many among us today are literally repeating this same process.
All for a lack of appreciation for the place of thanksgiving to God.
The two points highlighted above rank highest among His will for us.
The sooner we conform and put these to practice, the quicker our requests will receive the desired attention from God.
Now you know better.
Stop complaining and take action.
Stay blessed.
