“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:” – John 11:25
Christ is risen!
However, here is the interesting one – He is not just risen but is the Resurrection and the Life personified.
In other words, He stands before, after and absolutely above death.
Unbelievers cannot understand this because comprehension comes not by carnal knowledge but by Divine revelation through the Spirit.
That old hymn by Robert Lowry (1826 – 1899) reads,
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes;
He arose a victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!
This pretty much sums up our Christian faith; the basis of our belief.
Give thanks to God today as we continue to celebrate the risen Lord, Jesus Christ.
