“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” – Matthew 5:6
Food fills, but only for a while after which we hunger again.
Drinks, including water, may serve their intended purpose.
But they, as well, are soon eased out of the system and we thirst again.
There is, however, something that relieves hunger and thirst like no known food or drink,
This is Righteousness in Christ.
Blessed are they that have reordered their priorities in life to accord greater importance to this virtue to the level of emerging as a lifestyle.
Of a truth, they can never be stranded in all things and for all time, so long this focus remains.
And even greater shall their satisfaction be at eternity.
If this is not you, you should give yourself no rest until you arrive here.
