“Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.” – 1 Chronicles 29:13
These eggs are taking too long to hatch, it seems.
Your beans have stayed longer on the fire than they usually should take.
Your cocoa plantation has defiled natural laws and refused to yield produce in season.
Even worse is the case of the one whose cassava crops have been eaten up by rodents before harvest.
Or is yours a case of a container of commodities lost at high sea?
Does any of these describe your situation literally or figuratively?
Or are you fortunate enough to find yourself on the brighter side of events at this time of the year?
Whatever that situation may be in this November, remember, there is still a December to come.
For now and always, let’s forget all the ups and downs and give thanks to God.
Praise His glorious name and that raise will come.
Not in worrying, for worrying leaves you worse off.
Not in murmuring and complaints either that could stir up God’s wrath against you.
But in thanksgiving and praise to the God of all creation, your attitude must be.
It is written, “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you“. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
Again, it is also written, “Giving thanks always for all things unto God“. (Ephesians 5:20)
Now set your heart right with Him Who is able to accomplish all things by His Mighty Arm and give thanks.
And so shall your year be crowned with His goodness, your present circumstance notwithstanding.
Stay blessed.
