“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” – Psalm 119:11
Every human affair on the earth is governed by words.
These come in distinct forms described by various names.
Home training is at the basic level for everyone.
Then comes teachings, lectures, school notes, instructions, rules, manuals, ethics, codes of conduct, edicts, decrees, and constitutions;
And the list is as endless as there are human endeavours.
One purpose is common to all and that is guidance and regulation.
To what end is all this?
That orderliness may reign.
That conflicts may be avoided.
That the lines for breaches may be well defined.
We are made to understand that we are moulded after God’s image and likeness.
Armed with this knowledge, should there be any disputes with understanding why God runs on this same principle of law and order?
Humans, get real!
In the same manner we cringe at the laws of men, shouldn’t we do even more so with God’s?
Fear God!
Make efforts to get acquainted with His word.
Abide by them, that you may sin not and be swallowed up in His wrath.
Enough word for the wise at heart.
