“And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.” – 2 Thessalonians 3:5
No one can come to Jesus unless drawn by the Father – John 6:44.
This is not an occasion for an excuse as some will prefer to adopt.
A non-exclusive invitation to salvation has long been extended to the entire human race.
The crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ alluded to this and still bear witness today.
Daily you shut your eyes and go to bed.
At dawn, you open them to behold His goodness, by His mercy.
No better evidence to know of a truth that God’s love for you remains ever-present.
It is an indication that He has not given up on you yet.
Like a Father patiently awaiting the return of a straying child, so is Christ’s endurance towards all yet to embrace His offer.
It cannot be forever because our days are numbered.
Someday, the plug must and will be pulled.
Then comes the eternal journey home.
Be reachable, be submissive and be willing.
Consider and submit your heart to His offer of salvation while you yet can.
The prayer in today’s scripture is made for you.
Stay blessed.
