“Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” – 2 Corinthians 12:10
What?!
How can this be?
To gain pleasure in what the majority adjudge as sources of torture?
It can only be that old, rugged, fearless and most famous apostle.
The same that’s been to hell and back with medals-laden garments from great exploits and victories.
This can only be all of them that be like him, even the great Apostle Paul.
But wait a minute, isn’t there a clue tucked in between the lines?
Where Christ rules, every opposition bows.
When Jesus steps in, weaknesses are transformed into strength.
At His behest, distress dissolves into gladness.
Where He abides, persecutions are drowned in celebrations.
Necessities are trivialized to vanities in and around Him
How honoured and esteemed are those that are reproached for His sake.
And of infirmities, it is written, “…Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.” – Matthew 8:17.
This being the case, how can that exist which is already taken away?
For Christ’s sake and by spiritual insight, are we not more than conquerors in all these?
Therefore, unleash your joy to the fullest in Him, always, come what may.
There ain’t no better place to be at times like these.
Get onboard this flight and give it a trial.
Jesus Christ awaits you.
Stay blessed.
