“But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.” – Hebrews 13:16
About those ‘little’ things we do that augur well for us or those ‘big’ things we neglect that count against us, of such this teaching, is made.
Little because they normally would and could cost nothing beyond the mere decision in favour of the action or individual.
Big because the consequences of neglect often tend to magnify our decision for inaction beyond comprehension, leaving individuals with a sour feeling of regret in most cases.
Irrespective of your expectations, look beyond and over to God’s.
When you stretch yourself to make a sacrifice of your kind acts to others when helping goes beyond a ‘chicken change’ to something weighty or costly, then you win God’s Heart; for by this, He is well pleased.
And when God is well pleased, it is never a case of a handshake here and a pat on the back there.
His blessings, from the simplest intangible of forms to the stunning jaw-dropping ones, always follow.
The lesson in a nutshell – never turn a blind eye to doing good and sharing, even to the point of sacrifice.
The gain is yours to reap from God.
Stay blessed.
