“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:” – Deuteronomy 30:19
Choice! Yes, choice!
“What about choice?”, one may ask.
There is so much more to it than we ever give thought to.
Intended to be one of the best gifts handed down to us by our Creator, an Achilles heel of sorts it’s turned out to be for most.
In variants, it comes, and this may be described in different words.
Like choice like option, decision, preference, discretion, volition, judgment, and all such similar terms.
Binding these all together is the fact that they embody the expression of our God-given free will.
And this day we are docked between this Creator of ours and His uncompromisable and impartial witnesses.
Before these, we are called to make the most crucial of decisions life will ever demand of us.
To believe and trust in God alone, obeying His instructions fully, or to do otherwise.
In the former is life and in the latter is death.
For the generations post Christ crucifixion and resurrection, we must come to this Father through His Son, Jesus Christ – this is Life (John 3:16; John 14:6)
For a day and moment like this God has bestowed us with this gift and power of choice.
Every day is God’s day but the day we open up to Him is our day. (Bishop David Ouedepo)
From that moment, our life receives its true meaning and bearing.
Having now been armed with this truth, why delay any further?
Choose Life at this moment and live – for now and for eternity.
Stay blessed.
