“For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:” – 1 Peter 1:24
This is what it all comes to in the end.
Whether great or small, beautiful or ugly, rich or poor.
It matters not whatever the side of these contrasts or any other you may find yourself.
So long as you abide under the sun, the glory or otherwise lives in the moment.
And after the now, it fades.
The magnitude and speed of diminishing may differ but surely it all withers.
This is our story as humans, this is our thorn – in the flesh, that is.
As the flower of grass, it all must wane and fade away someday, by the Creator’s design.
Therefore, savour the moments.
Enjoy the accolades, wherever they abound.
Revel in the compliments, whenever you are blessed enough to attract any.
But keep in mind to pursue after that which is timeless and never fades.
God, His Word and all that pertains to His kingdom is this.
A word in season is comely for the wise.
Now choose to be this wise one.
