“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” – Colossians 3:17
Our credibility as humans in comparison to Divinity is questionable.
Like a moth-infested garment ridden with holes is our integrity before God.
But thank God for Jesus and His awesome saving grace.
Rescued from our frailties by the power of His grace, we can only remain perfect by staying connected to our Redeemer.
We must strive to reflect His image and personality at all times.
Self-effort and speech are flawed and grossly inadequate to pull us through this journey of life successfully.
What do we then do as humans, seeing this is the dilemma we are confronted with?
Put on the right Garment – that is what is requested and expected of us, going by our anchor scripture.
Are your utterances frequently applauded as being eloquent and effective?
Endeavour to acknowledge the silent Voice behind that fleshy microphone being you.
Why end up like that famous Herod consumed by worms for an act of ingratitude to God? (Acts 12:21-23)
Are the works of your hands highly regarded and rated among humans as flawless?
Hasten to ascribe all the glory to the One that trains your hands to war and gives power to get wealth. (Psalm 144:1; Psalm 18:34; Deuteronomy 8:18)
Why become the 21st-century human beast bereft of senses of reasoning and driven to dwell among wildlife for a season (Daniel 4:29-37)
Shamelessly reflect the inherited Image you now carry in speech and deed, giving thanks to God always.
Become a true ambassador for Christ if indeed you are His.
And if not His, then shrug off all impediments now and embrace Jesus for life in this new month.
Stay blessed.
