“Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.” – Jeremiah 10:11
No one even stops to think about this.
No one has any sense or understanding, no, not one of them.
Of the same wood they hew down, cook with, keep warm, and make household items of;
Of this same wood, even a portion of it, emerges a statue they esteem, extol and exalt their god (Isaiah 44:14-17).
Like the carpenter, so is the potter; and like the metalworker, so is the mason, and all who engage them for this work of illusion.
Creators of false gods all through the ages, many of these have knowingly or unknowingly thrived in their trade.
Adept in their works, and fanciful are their outputs.
But like every founder, they are confounded by their graven image (Jeremiah 10:14).
Altogether, objects of error are these, just as their worship is a comedy of blunders.
Now it is time for a reality check.
Is it made of wood, clay, metal, stone or other tangible objects that can be seen with the naked eye?
Does it enjoy unrivalled supremacy in your life, whether as a deity of worship, personal or corporate possession?
So long as it has not created the heavens and the earth, its days are numbered, and so says the Almighty.
Vanity, and the work of errors, they all are, and in the time of their visitation they shall perish from the earth (Jeremiah 10:15).
However, there is One Who made the earth by His power.
He alone established the world by His wisdom and stretched out the heavens by His discretion.
Through His Only Begotten Son, salvation is freely offered to all of humankind for a limited time.
Locate this One, make Him your One and Only God, and be saved forever.
