“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” – Romans 15:4
“The only thing we learn from history is that we learn nothing from history.”, goes a popular saying.
Grave mistakes, as we know them, have never ceased to be a part of our human lives.
This is despite the numerous books and documents available to us for learning about past events.
For all kinds of reasons, many incomprehensible and unacceptable, humans continue to stumble at the feet of the Holy scriptures.
Even well-established Christians know better than to refute this truth cum admonition of the same scriptures. (1 Corinthians 10:12)
If only we would accept this “book of the law” (Joshua 1:8) for what it stands for;
If only we would accept the Authority backing this Book as being Supreme above all else;
Oh! How much better our individual and collective lives become.
A good place to start is understanding what the scriptures truly stand for.
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, …” – 2 Tim. 3:16.
This, says the scriptures, itself, of itself.
More than a book of history and stories, it is God’s manual of life and living to all of mankind.
Make life and living less complicated and more meaningful.
Start today by making the scriptures your divine manual for daily guidance and operations.
God’s word, even as contained in the Holy Bible, given for our learning, awaits you earnestly.
Stay blessed.
