“For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” – Matthew 7:8
Now on this one about asking, seeking and knocking, come hear the Master out.
A line of thought might be why do these, especially when dealing with a God that created all and knows all?
Freewill sums it up.
God has given us this power of choice.
With it must come requests and actions on our part for the fulfilment of our desires.
Besides, was it not our grand and first ancestor, Adam, who was quick to accuse God of an implied ill?
It is quite interesting how the beautiful gift of a woman turned out to be God’s ‘wrongdoing’.
Even more bewildering is this when put up as an excuse by Adam as the source of his disobedience.
And from that moment, was this not a warning sign to God to tread with caution in dishing out gifts to us without mutual consent or our prompting?
Therefore, awake and comply with His word.
You must observe all mandated protocols for any area of concern you require God’s intervention.
A closed mouth, as the sages say, is a closed destiny.
Ask! And it shall be opened to you by the Bequestor-in-Chief, Jesus Christ.
This is the instruction for the day, and indeed for all time.
Stay blessed.
