“Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.” – Psalm 27:14
Ranking high among the most berated virtues in modern times is patience.
Exhibit it considerably, and you could easily pass for a fool before the majority.
It’s long been a “jet age” world after all.
You either ride on the fast lane or get swept aside.
So it is with humans and indeed the rest of the world – survival of the fittest that includes the swiftest.
With God, the rule is different.
His ways are unlike ours, and His thoughts are as contrasting as ever pitched against ours.
For this reason, we all need patience.
In a world of ever-increasing distractions and noisy headlines, the need for patience is even greater now than perhaps at any other time in the history of mankind.
Therefore to all of them who have ever uttered a prayer of expectation to the Lord;
To those who believe to see His goodness in the land of the living;
And for them who hope for His blessings stripped of any form of sorrow;
Be courageous, be strengthened at heart and wait on the Lord, patiently.
Stay strong, it won’t be long.
Surely, your turn is around the corner and only a turning away.
Only turn to Jesus now, if you haven’t.
Remain blessed.
