My Portion.

MY PORTION FOREVER, MY GOD!

“My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever.” – Psalm 73

The propensity for the heart and flesh to fail is this day highlighted.

This is not in the case of heart failure or a medical case of a heart attack;

But this applies to a weariness of the body and soul in the face of grave adversity.

Ever been in that situation where your spirit is willing but your body cannot measure up?

Well, this is much worse.

There comes that time when a ‘stronger than you’ confronts you and leaves you seemingly hopeless.

From the inside out you know this is a “no match” as your heart pants and paces for solutions.

An assessment of your strengths and options avails your heart with an ill report.

What is your failover plan in a personal downtime of this kind?

This is surely not a time for that famed “Que Sera Sera, whatever will be will be. ….” anthem.

Accepting just about any outcome life hands down to you should not be an option on the table.

No! Not where and when a far better exists.

And if snapping your fingers over your head in the “not my portion” African style is your apt response, then have a rethink.

If your portion is any outside of this Portion, then shadows are what you might be clinging to.

Hand over the control of your life to Jesus and be confident of your expectations as supported by God’s word.

Ease off your heartache by making Him your portion today.

You will never find another like Him on the planet.

Remain blessed.
