“He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.” – 1 John 2:6
The advent of social media networks and online influencers across fields has introduced a different twist to the meaning of the word “follow” and by extension “followership”.
Many individuals boast of sizeable numbers of followers.
Similarly, a great many others among us are loyal followers of one influential personality or another, online and offline.
Followed or follower, a time comes when online statuses count as nothing.
All that matters then is the Eternal One you chose to follow or did not reckon with.
A quick word to all prompt to align to Christ as a follower, disciple, ambassador, child, friend or whatever capacity;
The kind of affiliation revealed here goes beyond mere words.
This one is an action-based, mirror-reflecting, fire-refined and weather-proof relationship.
Following Jesus weighs beyond clicking the “follow” button on your social media page.
Not to even talk about remaining idle afterwards for life.
You must become actively engaged in words and actions with Him.
And to the non-followers of this Lord, you risk counting losses with a maturity date just around the corner.
If walking, even as He walked this earth and still walks, isn’t on your life goals list yet, a rethink is strongly recommended.
Decision time is now.
Decide for Jesus and live.
Stay blessed.
