“O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.” – Isaiah 25:1
It is the lot of sycophants to offer praises to another for nothing.
Likewise, honour is an exclusive preserve of the distinguished and not a facial makeup for clowns.
As fear is commanded and respect earned, so are praises and honour attracted.
In a roll call of the worthy, there is none more deserving of these accolades than the Lord Most High.
And why so?
His deeds, works, ways and acts are too wonderful for our little minds to assimilate.
Don’t even bother trying, for when God is out to wow, as He always is, the accompanying wow is never-ending.
His counsels of old are evergreen in relevance and impact.
Faithfulness and truth are the bedrock of these against which all else falters and fades.
Of this God, Moses and the Iraelites once sang in the wilderness;
“ Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?” (Exodus 15:11)
If they did back then for what they saw, should we not as well for what we see daily?
If you ever lost a thing, consider, He is the reason you didn’t loose all, your life inclusive.
You may have gotten behind schedules, plans, and perhaps, even in the race of life, but….
With God, you are sure to get on top and win in extra time.
You only need engage this mysterious weapon of praise and the rest will fall in place.
Now give God the honour and praise for Who He is.
Stay blessed.
