“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” – Matthew 22:37
There’s no kidding you about this one, it is no easy meat to chew in human flesh.
This is because the flesh is hardly ever in sync with the spirit.
Loving God with our ALL requires discipline beyond the demands of ordinary earthly love.
God Himself has commanded this, first through Moses and also here through His Son, Jesus.
We follow the Spirit and the things of the Spirit by the spirit in us.
God is Spirit and we must meet Him at that level.
If we must please Him through that which He already deposited in us, then this way it must be.
There is no hard saying here.
It is also not an impossible feat beyond the complacent excuses we give ourselves as individuals for not being able to draw close to God,
However, we are never shy of receiving and enjoying His blessings in spite of this.
Isn’t it time for a change of mindset?
If this is a command, to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul and mind, then there’s got to be a reward and a recompense somewhere in there.
Go for the reward by loving the Lord without restraint.
You are well better off this way.
