“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” – James 4:7
“Easier said than done”, many may blurt out, but who told you this was your burden to bear alone?
Your role in this is to submit to God first.
From that moment, help is made available by the Holy Spirit to overcome all obstacles and oppositions, including the devil.
The evil one knows those that are his and wastes no time in targeting them with his wiles.
These ones he reserves for calamity by handpicking any at will.
Pretty much like randomly selecting a sheep out of the sheep pen for invited guests at a dinner banquet.
But as for the children of the Light, they remain the prime target of the devil.
He is constantly probing and prodding their professed faith in God for exploitable loopholes.
His agents lay sieges about the hedge of the righteous awaiting a breach of any kind.
At the appearance of any opening for the careless, they strike; barring the mercies of God.
Don’t be too smart for yourself, not to even talk of this ancient serpent.
Comply with scriptural instructions and resolutely resist the devil and his temptations, that he may indeed flee your presence.
Make God your fortress by submitting to Him today.
