“Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.” – Philippians 2:3
Having esteem for others above yourself is like a seed sown.
The fruit is only a season or seasons away and this is as sure as the appearance of night and day in the land of the living.
But so also it is with an attitude of disregard for others, for what goes around surely comes around.
Cause and effect for this principle require no prayer or fasting to invoke or avert.
The natural law of seedtime and harvest is effective in handling such situations.
Our role is made simple in all of this – choice.
A decision to place others before you, like the Master taught, or to remain swaddled in your bloated self-esteem and vainglory in defiance to this admonition.
Be careful to obey and reap a reward for your obedience.
Care less about this ‘boring’ and ‘old fashioned’ advice and get paid in your chosen currency when your yield abounds.
A word in season is comely to the wary.
Stay blessed.
