“If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.” – John 13:14
Let’s put this another way, thus –
“Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have served you, you should also serve one another”;
“Now that I, being your Lord and Master, have not lorded it over you, you ought not to lord it over your fellow beings”; among other variants that may be derived from this scripture.
It is all in the spirit of servanthood and service to humankind that stems from divine humility.
Don’t let that position get into your head.
The same applies to wealth, strength, knowledge and every other attribute or possession that places one well above the rest.
Instead, view yourself as being highly blessed with that rare opportunity to make a difference in the life of others.
This way, it can only get better for you as the limits to your ascension constantly give way to all-round victories.
This is the ‘Jesus way’.
